How to order your Stained Glass Window from

Traditional Stained Glass

How to acheive an idea of the cost of a bespoke leaded stained glass windowmade by Artisan.

A picture coupled with approximate szes are usually enough for us to give an estimate for the cost of the work. Home visits to take measurements and show designs will be made after the customer has an idea of cost, and has decided to proceed.

Step 1/ Measurements. To enable us to price a job we need to know the size and approximate shape of the window required. These sizes do not have to be perfect, as we will take our own acurate measurements before commencing the work.

Step 2/ A photograph of your window or door from the inside is a great way to get across most of the information we need at the pricing stage.

Step 3/ Choose a style either from our huge range of photographs showing windows we have made, or if you want a design to match in with an existing leaded window then send a picture taken from the inside of this too. We are always happy to work up a design based on a customer's own ideas as well.

Most of the process can be easily carried out via email.

Please remember that some of our stained glass windows can be made from hundreds of pieces of glass, all hand cut and leaded together using the exact techniques that have been in practice since the 10th century. The skills and the time it takes to hand make our windows are reflected in our price.
