Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts Antiques
All guaranteed genuine antiques from the Art Nouveau or Arts & Crafts period. Please note that these items are not on view in our shop, but please email for more info or additional pictures/details. Metalware from this period of history is highly sought after and collected the world over. Probably the most prolific producer was the WMF company in Germany. Companies such as Osiris or Kayserzinn (J.P. Kayser & Sohn, based in Germany) were producing Jugendstil metalware before Liberty & Co in the UK. Liberty originally retailed these brands before embarking on their own home grown designs and productions, with Archibald Knox being one of their best known designers, alongside Oliver Baker. It is Knox's works that now command some of the highest prices for collectors of Liberty, particularly the pieces that include enamels. All our items are in good condition, despite being over one hundred years old. Viewings can be made by appointment at the shop. Above. Four different rare hand made Arts & Crafts copper frames dating from circa 1900-1910. All have easel backs, again all are hand made. One back has been replaced. Not noticeable from the front, and this is to be expected with items of this age. Solid copper repousse frames in the manner of John Pearson, with steel backs . Top two frames A and B are slightly larger than the lower two. Price now £45.00 each plus p&p.

ABOVE.. A gorgeous original fruit bowl made by the WMF factory in Germany circa 1900. Has its original green glass liner that is cut to the shape of the flower motifs, and can be seen through the filligree work all around the sides of the bowl. Left. Liberty & Co Art Nouveau Tudric hot water jug designed by Archibald
Knox. Fully marked to base with two beautiful blue/green enamel cabouchons,
has its original cane handle. This design was available both with and without
the enamels. Enamel versions are extremely rare to find. Condition perfect.
